Renewable Energy Communities (RECs) are essentially neighbors producing and sharing electricity through their own microgrid, independently from the Distribution System Operators and instead owned by the properties that it serves. The concept of RECs is rapidly emerging and here to stay. We are working on facilitating a smooth transition between local communities and stakeholders in the energy landscape to create economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable RECs starting in the Region of Skåne, Sweden.
